ASMR weft prep • Almost all of my extension clients have blonde extensions or dark virgin hair extensions that I customized completely. I always start by clarifying and usually follow with Malibu. I use permanent color to to create the custom color the first time. I touch it up with Demi when it fades. I always combine techniques to create a blend, which is another reason I color them myself instead of getting pre colored hair with dimension. This set I did some dimension pieces where I dragged the root halfway down. I did some reverse lowlight, using my tier lowlight technique. I did 2 pieces with an “M” shape root so when I fold the weft over, the lightness will be highest by the face. I’ll post pics of the install after the client comes in 🥺

Custom color VIRGIN hair extensions for a perfect match. I lifted virgin level 3 hair extensions to create a rich warm brown to match the client’s natural. She also has naturally dark hair so to left out the roots of the extensions so when her roots grow in they will still be a perfect match.

2 weeks of healing with @montanatsaihair 🫘 Everything went really well, we are healthy & healing. Im coming back to New York today ✈️

I’m going to try my best to find the words to talk about our kidney/donor transplant journey. Last year we got some scary news about the health of my best friend, Montana. The news got worse and worse and then we learned she would need a kidney transplant and would be starting dialysis, as she was in kidney failure already. This was hard to hear and felt so sudden and unexpected. Montana always kept her head up and stayed positive, so I tried to be positive too. There was no question that I’d be willing to be a donor, but there was a lot of testing to be done to find out if I was a match and would be able to donate. I did the initial testing and we were a match. I flew to Los Angeles right away for more testing to make sure that I would be able to be a donor. We got pushed back a little bit because Montana had another health scare, which put her in the hospital and was a very close call. When we were finally approved as donor/recipient, I’ve never been so happy to feel like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. I feel like I I’ve been holding my breath for close to a year, and it’s finally here, tomorrow 😊 Montana, my sissy, my bestie, my Selena Gomez - I admire your calmness and strength. You kept it moving and never once let this get you down - like a boss! (Not you opening a salon while fighting for your life!) You have every right to be the emotional one, but instead I feel like you’ve been my rock. I know we met for a reason. I’m learning from you how to take things in stride. You are my inspiration. Thank you to everyone wishing us well, I know everything is going to be ok, but it means the world to have good thoughts and energy coming our way during this time. I feel so immensely grateful for the support system we have. I know that we aren’t alone in this. I’m going to do my best to share more so we can all be in this together 🫶

First of all, I’m obsessed. Anyone that knows anything about me knows I’m literally a crazy client about my hair (sorry 😇) I went to see @briannedubehair the owner of @dubenewyork after getting my color done by @mykeldwa She did it in just 5 hours including the cut and I love it. It has so much movement. I love the way the extensions are more distributed throughout, it feels really natural. I think for my hair, I will continue with ktips instead of wefts. I like how it looks better. As an extension artist, I still like doing both on my clients. I’m happy I tried something different this time.
